Where We Are:
Report from the Campaign Chairs Margie McCarter and
Murray White:

Thanks to our Visiting Stewards the Capital Campaign is off to a good start.
Between March and May they visited 55 church sessions. Most churches were visited on Sunday, April 20, for a Minute for Mission.  All churches were sent bulletin inserts for that Sunday.  We hope to visit the three remaining churches by the end of June.

Twenty-five churches have made either a written or verbal commitment to the Capital Campaign for a total of $293,325.  The churches which have responded
are: Allison Creek, Bethesda-K, Blackstock, Bowling Green, Cane Creek, Carmel, Cedar Shoals, Clover, Cornwell, Douglas, Fort Lawn, Grace-Y, Great Falls, Messiah, New Cut, Oakdale, Purity, Riverview, St. Paul ’s, Tirzah-Y, Union First, Unity, Wade Memorial, Woodlawn, and York First.

Nine churches have decided to ask members of their congregation to make individual pledges or to contribute to a special offering on a designated Sunday.  These churches are:  Beaver Creek, Beth Shiloh, Bethesda-Y, Kershaw First, Liberty Hill, Pleasant Ridge, Ramah, Uriel and Van Wyck.

Twenty-one churches have not yet made a commitment.  Some of these need to wait on a session meeting, while others need to address some financial issues of their own (repairs, church campaigns, etc.).  We are optimistic that, when we finish, all 58 churches of Providence Presbytery will participate in the campaign in some manner.

As of today, the total committed to the campaign is:   $835,856.40

The amount still to be raised is:
$258,143.60

We hope that when the campaign is concluded all the churches of Providence Presbytery will support OUR Bethelwoods and OUR Faith New Church Development.
